We, the undersigned organizations, trade associations, businesses, and corporations, endorse Congressional action to swiftly pass this critical legislation. Now more than ever Congress needs to take urgent action to pass bipartisan legislation and counter the efforts in state legislatures throughout the country that limit voices within the community. Small businesses need to get back to work.

In a recent poll by Small Business for America’s Future of over 1,000 small business owners from across the country, 74% supported Congressional action in supporting the For the People Act.

As small business leaders, we support Congressional efforts aimed to expand voting rights, change campaign finance laws to reduce the influence of money in politics, limit partisan gerrymandering, and create new ethics rules for federal officeholders. Recent attempts to limit voices in numerous states by obstructing the voting process and upend our nation’s democratic origins greatly impacts small businesses. As a trusted source within those communities we believe that it is important to have a strong voice in the democratic process. We account for almost half of the country’s economic activity, two-thirds of new jobs, and employ more than half of all Americans. Small Businesses are an integral part of America’s communities. Over 500+ business owners from across the country have signed a letter in calling on Congress to take action in opposition to the numerous state legislatures attempting to obstruct the voting process and usurp American Democracy.
